Each Monday I am going to share with you a POW (product of the week). Featured POWs are going to be products that I have found and love. I am so excited to share my first POW with you!
First of all, I love all of the ingredients in Purely Elizabeth granola. The ingredients are all recognizable and ingredients that you could have on hand in your kitchen. This granola comes in great flavors and varieties, and is great for gluten free and vegan diet restrictions. When looking for granolas I always check the ingredients list and then the nutrition facts panel since granola can be high in calories and low in fiber and protein. In the past I have had trouble finding granolas that have nutrition facts I approve of. However, for this granola that is not the case. For ⅓ cup serving size, the original ancient grain granola has 140 calories, 2g fiber and 3g protein. My favorites are the original ancient grain granola and the chocolate sea salt probiotic granola (since who doesn’t like chocolate at breakfast)!
My favorite ways to enjoy this granola:
- On it’s own as a snack
- Baked into muffins
- As a Greek yogurt topping with fruit (This is my breakfast many mornings)
- On top of peanut butter sandwiches to add a crunch*
*for athletes this is a good way to add extra carbohydrates and protein
Have you tried this granola? What is your favorite way to enjoy it?
